With a background in structured data and master data, he is the original author of the UNSPSC classification and he has been involved in the development and promotion of cooperative solutions for the exchange of quality master data since 1999. Peter’s expertise includes classifications, cataloging, data quality, data portability, and data provenance. Peter has led the creation of international standards such as ISO 8000 (data quality), ISO 22745/ISO 29002 (cataloging) and ISO 25500 (strategic sourcing). He has also contributed to the design and development of open technical dictionaries and cataloging solutions. Peter’s work focuses on data standards for smart manufacturing, smart supply chains, and IoT.
