Webinar Description
Cryptocurrency is a specific type of data stored on a blockchain and a blockchain is a type of distributed ledger. A distributed ledger is simply a ledger (data) distributed across multiple computers. The challenge with any distributed data is synchronization and if we are to trust data, we also need to know that it has not been tampered with, that it is immutable. In this short webinar, Peter Benson will take you on a journey from cryptocurrency to blockchain and distributed ledgers focusing on their applicability to the supply chain. More than just a primer on the subject, Peter will review some of the supply chain pilot projects and explain the current challenges as well as what we can expect to gain from the application of distributed ledger technology in the future.
