Introduction to ISO 25500 Supply Chain Interoperability Standards

ECCMA Webinar: Introduction to ISO 25500 Supply Chain Interoperability Standards

17 July 2025, 13:00 UTC/8:00am EST/14:00 CET/17:30 IST

In business, when trust is low everything takes longer and costs more. Data is not enough to build and manage a safe and efficient supply chain – you have to be able to trust the data that surrounds a supply chain transaction.

Now imagine a world where data on organizations (identity, location, legal standing indicators) and items (specifications, testing and certifications, manufacture location) flows freely between digitally connected and trusted supply chain partners. Business happens faster and costs less.

ISO 25500 is the new international standard for supply chain interoperability and integration. It is designed to add trust to supply chain data, providing a common language and structure for authoritative data verification.

ISO 25500 introduces the concept of the industrial internet, a safe and efficient environment for verifying supply chain and industrial data. Fundamental to the industrial internet is the absence of anonymity. ISO 25500 describes the International Business Identifier (IBID) and the process for verifying the identity of the parties requesting and providing data. The new standard also includes exciting developments that will make it easier to verify certificates as well as identify local sources for goods or services.

This new ISO data standard is a game-changer for anyone responsible for supply chain operations, data quality and data governance.  In our one hour webinar Peter Benson, the project leader for the ISO 25500 standard, will explain how you can easily apply the principles of the new ISO 25500 standard today to deliver the benefits of implementing ISO 8000, the international standard for quality data, and much more besides.

We look forward to seeing you at the webinar!
