Free supplier master data quality analysis allows you to evaluate your exposure to fraud

Every supplier record in your master data claims to belong to a real, registered business. In a recent ECCMA member’s Supplier Master Data Quality Analysis, 50% of records could not be confirmed as real legal entities without further research.

That does not mean fraud. It means the identity behind the record was never checked against the government business register that created the business as a legal entity in the first place – a flaw in supplier data management or an onboarding process, repeated every time that unverified record is copied into a new system, a new report, or a new AI tool.

Why this matters now

Duplicate payments. Corporate fraud. Insurers may decline to pay claims when it matters most. They all trace back to the same gap: a supplier identity nobody verified at the source.

Most applications and data services check a supplier against another vendor database. That is a match, not a verification. Only one thing tells you for certain who a supplier really is: the government register that created the business as a legal entity in the first place. That’s why ECCMA is offering free Supplier Master Data Quality Analysis to those who register before 30 September 2026.

How it works

Send us your spreadsheet

Supplier names, addresses, and any other identifying data you have. No financial data required.

ECCMA runs the free analysis

ECCMA runs the analysis, and verifies your suppliers against government business registers.

Receive the results

A report with recommendations, plus your spreadsheet with an IBID for every record we can positively identify.*

Evaluate your exposure

Add back your annual spend by supplier to the returned spreadsheet and see where your fraud exposure really sits.

*Records we can’t confirm are flagged with a reason: jurisdiction of registration not found, name not found in the business registry, or multiple possible name matches.

ECCMA does not retain records of supplier relationships, does not share supplier data, and records verified supplier identities in the eKYS database as legal entity identifiers only — not as records of any commercial relationship.

The IBID: your verified data anchor for all other supplier data

An ISO 25500 International Business Identifier (IBID) combines three key data points – a business’s registration number with legal jurisdiction, its legal name, and its date of formation – into a single identifier that can always be checked against the register that issued it.
