Webinar Description

With 2022 coming to a close and 2023 on the horizon, what did we get right and what should we expect from the year ahead. Data is now center stage with digital transformation in full swing and AI not far behind. The concepts of data portability, provenance and authoritative source are starting to gain traction as we learn to preserve the meaning of data as well as identify and filter out spam and gossip more efficiently. How do we leverage what we have learned to safely move to interoperable systems and how do we then move to integrated systems; the answer may be in improving sourcing.

The ISO working group on supply chain interoperability and integration (SCII) is creating a standard that will cover sourcing terminology, metadata, reference data and data exchange requirements. The goal is to make discovery and onboarding faster and safer; the webinar will include a demo of the ECCMA Master Data Validator – eMDV (https://eccma.org/application/emdv-eccma-master-data-validator/) that can help achieve this goal. In this one hour end-of-year wrap up, Peter Benson, the founder and Executive Director of ECCMA will share his insights on the standards for supply chain interoperability and integration that we can expect to see emerge in 2023.
